AIIMS

AIIMS is an national level MBBS examination for the students who have taken BiPC in their intermediate.

PATTERN:

Total marks - 200
Questions:
Physics - 60
chemistry - 60
biology - 60
G.K - 20

DURATION: 3 1/2 hours.
+1 mark for each correct answer.
-1/3 for each wrong answer.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

(i) Candidates who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped candidates) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English or whose results of Class – XII are likely to be declared by 7th July, 2008 are eligible to apply. (ii) The candidate should have attained the age of 17 (Seventeen) years.

APPLICATION FEE:

The Prospectus-cum-Application Form costing Rs.500/- (Rs.400/- in case of SC/ST candidates) inclusive of examination fee can be obtained in the following manner:

I) By Post: The Prospectus-cum-Application Form can also be obtained by Speed Post/Registered Post by sending a written request with an account payee Bank Draft for Rs. 550/- (Rs.450/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of “M.B.B.S. Entrance Examination” payable at New Delhi. The Bank Draft should be valid upto July/August 2008. The request must reach the Assistant Controller of Examinations, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi-110608 on or before the last date. Money Order/Cheque/Postal Order/Cash or any other form of payment will NOT be accepted for postal sale. The words “REQUEST FOR APPLICATION FORM FOR M.B.B.S. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2008” should be written on the envelop containing request for application form, and also on top of the request letter. The address at which Application Form is required should be written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS and with PIN code. AIIMS will not be responsible for delay in/non-receipt of Application Form caused by illeligible or incomplete address..

MPORTANT: (1) Candidates must obtain application forms ONLY from an authorized branch of S.B.I. or by post from Examination Section of AIIMS. Forms obtained from an unauthorized source will be rejected. (2) Candidates are advised to procure application forms as early as possible instead of waiting for the last date. If the Application Forms are sold out before the last date of sale and the same are not available, AIIMS/State Bank of India or its specified branches will not be responsible for any consequences that may arise due to non-availability of forms. In case a candidates does not get the form through Post Office in time, AIIMS will not be responsible for such lapses.

Schedule of sale of Prospectus-cum-Application Forms:

1. Against cash payment by above listed branches of S.B.I. (except AIIMS Campus, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi).
2. Against cash payment from S.B.I. Ansari Nagar, (AIIMS Campus Branch), New Delhi.
3. By post against Bank Draft from the Examination Section, AIIMS, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi.

Note :

All those candidates who want to avail (27%) OBC reservation in the MBBS admission have to submit OBC (Central Government List) Certificate from the prescribed authority The Certificate must clearly mention that he/she does not belong not belong ‘ Creamy Layer.’

The duly attested photocopy of the Certificate should be sent to the Examination Section at the earliest by Speed Registered Post or by hand the candidates can also submit the Certificates at the time of examination to the Faculty /Officer – in Charge AIIMS the candidate must prominently write the Roll Number on the Right hand corner of the Certificate.

The AIIMS website will display the name and roll no of all those who submit their OBC

Certificate In case a candidate finds his/ her roll no missing he/ she should contact the Examination Section & re- submit the Certificate (if required).
